We are humbled by and appreciative of our loyal customers who have bought season passes (after the pandemic) or have chosen to not cancel their reservations and to those of you who have already pledged your support on SOS Bend. With Payroll Protection Plan funds we are fortunate to be able to pay a skeleton crew of employees in Bend and Oakridge until the middle of July. Hopefully, we’ll be back in action before then but we anticipate a changed business model with more employees seeing fewer customers in order to maintain social distancing guidelines. We love our employees and would like to get them back to work as soon as possible so that we don’t lose them to desk jobs. Cog Wild is deeply entwined in the Bend Community. Many of our employees are long time Bend locals who pay mortgages and buy from local grocers and vendors. As a business, Cog is linked to many others such as LOGE, where we rent space, Nancy P’s who make tasty sandwiches for our tours and Northgate Automotive who services our fleet of vans. If we don’t make it then many other businesses may risk going under during the pandemic.
If we are going to survive this season, we’ll need your trust in us and financial help in one of two ways: First, buy a season pass or skills clinic or a gift certificate directly from our website. Second, pledge to support us or other small businesses in Bend to help them weather this economic storm on the SOS Bend Website. I’m going to pledge to support Sparrow Bakery because I really want ocean rolls to be here when this pandemic is over! Ocean rolls, like a shuttle with Cog Wild define Bend!
