Lev Stryker

Owner

Lev brings a long history of cycling to Cog Wild. He started mountain biking at fifteen in Santa Cruz and never looked back. Name a type of cycling and Lev has probably done it. From racing road bikes and DH racing to Freeride trips to Whistler, and everything in between, Lev likes to have fun on a bike. He lives in Bend with his wife Kirin and daughter Nola.

Lev has been riding and maintaining trails in Central Oregon for many years and has intimate knowledge of the trails and road rides. His involvement with the bike community in Bend includes trail adoption and crew leadership with COTA and coaching young riders with Cascadia Junior Cycling.

Kirin Stryker

Owner

Kirin is co-owner of Cog and wife to Lev Stryker. Kirin loves to geek out on the rich natural and cultural history of Central Oregon. Consider yourself lucky if you get to spend the day riding trails with her on Bend’s scenic trails.

Sara Perry

Sara is a rare Bend native, having grown up riding and racing her bike here in Central Oregon, Oakridge and the coast. She loves to cook, enjoys the local beers and coaching women’s mountain bike clinics.

Russ Risdon

Russ has been guiding with Cog Wild since 2011. He loves sessioning new bike parks and traveling to new bike areas. Aside from guiding, Russ is a mountain bike skills instructor, fitness coach, pilates instructor and spin instructor. Follow him on Instagram @pedalfitruss

Pia Meurs-Gerken

From Denmark, Pia’s lived numerous places in the States. Maui, Boston, Hood River OR, Bellingham WA and Vail CO have all been home before moving here to Bend. She loves the outdoors, the mountains and Oregon. Mountain biking is her favorite activity along with trail running, skiing, surfing and windsurfing.

Erika Schmid

Erika boasts being Cogwild’s longest serving guide. Infamous for her “Big Balls“, Erika embraces the edge in her mountain biking. When not schooling the younger generation on the trails, Mrs. Schmid instructs the whippersnappers in physics and chemistry. Erika loves riding in Canada and New Zealand but Oregon trails are dearest to her heart.

Randy Brus

Born & raised in Tacoma, WA, Randy moved to Bend in 2011. Randy attended Cal State Long Beach on scholarship for swimming, and competed as a water skier for a number of years. He spends his winters in the Palm Springs area riding in the sunshine and warm weather year round, but loves the warm season here in the PNW.

Lara D’Orvilliers

Originally from NJ, Lara moved west as soon as she graduated from college. Following a 15 year career in Athletic Training, she returned to school earning her degree in Outdoor Leadership from Central Oregon Community College in Bend.  The outdoors is her happy place and she loves to share that space with others.  When not working for Cog Wild, you can find her teaching at COCC, Crew Leading with Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA), mountain biking, trail running or skiing.

Ashley Blaylock

Born and raised here in Bend, OR, Ashley has grown up loving all things outdoors, especially snowboarding and mountain biking. She has a passion teaching others how to love and appreciate nature.

Justin Serna

Justin has lived in Central Oregon on and off since the 80’s, riding anything with wheels.

Brian McPhearson

Brian is a mainstay in Oakridge. The main shuttle driver, he is friendly, welcoming and stoked to talk trails. Brian is a wealth of knowlege of the OROR area.

Alexandria Boyd

Based in Oakridge, Alex wears many hats. When she isn’t driving shuttles, guiding tours or serving post ride goodies at the Middle Fork Bistro, she can be found ripping down the Oakridge area trails.

Ben Adams

Ben began his outdoor career as a guide leading teens in the PNW and Alaska. He now calls Bend home, teaching middle school teacher in the Bend-LaPine School District. Ben combines his love of riding with sharing his knowledge of Central Oregon plants and animals with those around him.

Kenny Stone

Kenny is a Willamette Valley native and enjoys riding all the trails that Oregon has to offer. When not riding in Oakridge, he’s typically finding new trails to explore or revisiting past favorites. He is typically a more gravity focused rider, but will also enjoy a slow pedal up. Outside of working with Cogwild, Kenny is the founder and president of Soldiers on Singletrack, a veterans nonprofit mountain bike group.

Katie Emory

Katie grew up riding mountain bikes all over the Southwest racing for the University of Arizona. Once finishing college she made the move to the PNW. She has fallen in love with loam, berms & everything that encompasses the Pacific Northwest. When not on her bike, you can find her fishing on the river & camping with her dog, Spoke.

Jason Meyer

Jason, aka Big J, brings his passion for cycling and the outdoors to the Cog Wild family. A native Oregonian, he’s been riding bicycles and motorcycles since an early age. After a short lived basketball career in the late 90’s, he started getting serious about mountain biking, and has not looked back since. Many of his friends call him Big J, and is known to have broken many a bike part. He is a student of Martial Arts, rides his snowboard in the winter, and loves to geek out and modify tuner cars in his free time.
