Cog Wild is Bend, Oregon’s source for guided mountain bike rides, skills instruction and shuttles from May through October. Cog Wild offers daily guided mountain bike rides and skills instruction for all levels of riders. For those who are familiar with the region or who are competent explorers, Cog Wild provides multiple daily shuttles to the main trailheads along the Cascade Lakes Highway.

Located at LOGE Camp Hotel, Cog Wild is at the boundary of the Deschutes National Forest, which means the trails start and end at our location. We love Bend and are excited to share our knowledge of place with locals and tourists alike.

Deschutes National Forest E-bike policy

Class 1 pedal-assist E bikes are now allowed on select trails on the Deschutes National Forest. Learn more at Central Oregon Trails Alliance’s e-bike page.

Cog Wild will offer Santa Cruz Vala e-bike rentals, tours and skills sessions after May 1, 2026. E bikes will only be dropped at the Wanoga shuttle drop spot, since they are not allowed on trails out of Swampy or Dutchman Sno-Parks.

This is how experienced mountain bikers maximize riding in Bend, Oregon. Park at Cog Wild, jump on our regular daily shuttles to Wangoa, Swampy and Dutchman Trailheads, then ride trail all the way back to our parking lot. Join a public shuttle, charter a private shuttle, or join our special seasonal shuttles.
