Cog Wild’s Oakridge Cottage
Camping is fun, but who really wants to camp in the cold & rain? We bought this place because we wanted to extend our riding season; now we’re able to ride early in the spring and late in the fall all while having a place to wash & dry gear and safely store our bikes. Let it rain!
We’re excited to offer our place to Cog’s clients, since we want you to extend your riding season too. The Oakridge Cottage is not fancy; just a clean, simple place.
The open, south facing living room has a smart TV with an apple tv box so you can access your own media streaming accounts. The wifi router is in the living room so you can plug in directly if you plan to work remotely. The wifi service is 40 mpgs, which has worked well for our family to teach and learn virtually this year.
There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and one small bathroom.
The kitchen is older, but well equipped for cooking meals: plenty of pots and pans, serving dishes, even a crock pot so you can have hot food after your adventure. There is a standard drip coffee machine and a french press. There is no dishwasher.
Off the back of the house is a deck overlooking the backyard with views across to Larison Ridge. After your summer adventure, grill out on the deck and enjoy the fading light or relax in a hammock strung between big old oak trees. The garage below the house has a washer and dryer and is perfect for bike and gear storage.
Pets are allowed with prior consent from the owner and for an additional $35 pet fee. The back yard is fenced in and there are many easy dog walks from the house. Towels to wipe off muddy paws are provided. If you bring a dog with out declaring it, you will be charged for the additional pet fee.
The best part is the cottage’s location: a couple blocks from Cog’s headquarters at First & Pine, a short ride or walk to Ray’s Supermarket or the Willamette Mountain Mercantile, blocks from the Backwoods Distillery and the Three Legged Crane Pub.
