Ready to get back on your bike? Starting May 15th, we will be offering half day mountain bike skills clinics for locals and their household groups. Learn from one of Cog Wild’s PMBI certified mountain bike coaches while maintaining good social distancing practices.

We will meet outside of Cog Wild’s office and ride together from here. These lessons are designed for riders of all levels from novice to expert and everyone in between. If you have a specific trail or section  of trail that you want to conquer, let us know and we can help!

Please only include people from your household group in the lesson to minimize unnecessary contact with other people. These lessons will be private, meaning no other groups  will be joining your lesson.

Please see the COVID 19 guidelines that we are following to stay in compliance with the Oregon Health Authority.

6 – 20 miles, depending on rider skill levels. All lessons will start at Cog Wild. We are not offering shuttles at this time.

Level

Beginner to advanced. Skills clinics are customized for you or your group.

Terrain & Trails

Local trails are mostly fast and flowy, but we’ll incorporate more technical or advanced features to challenge your newly developed skills.

Please let us know prior to the lesson if you have a specific trail that you would like to work on.

Recommended Clothing & Gear

Exercise clothes, such as comfortable shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes are great, as well as a long sleeve sweatshirt or lightweight jacket. Hydration packs are recommended for carrying drinking water. Helmets are required on all rides. Gloves are recommended. Pads are optional if they will make you feel more comfortable trying new things.

Needed Information

During the reservation process you will need to share the below info for each rider:

  • Height and weight for the bike rental.
  • Ages of children or those over 60.
  • If each rider has mountain bikes before: beginner, intermediate or advanced and any additional details you would like to share.
  • Any dietary or medical restrictions.

Can I use my own bike?

Yes! Your own mountain bike is best because you are used to it. If you need a rental bike, please make the rental arrangements and pick up the bike your self. Not all shops are renting bikes at this time. We will not rent bikes for our guests at this time.

I have been riding for a long time, what can you teach me?

Our coaches have lots of experience with all skill levels. For more advanced riders, we can work on technical trail riding, jumps and high speed cornering.

I would like more than a one-day clinic. Do you offer anything?

At this time, we recommend doing more than one skills clinic or add day tours to enhance your riding experience.
