Hood River Bike Trails + Maps

Mountain Biking around Hood River

The Hood River bike trails are some of the best in Oregon. Whether you are a free rider or enjoy cross country mountain biking, this network of trails is a crowd pleaser.

There are three main access points to the trail system: Seven Streams is a mere 15-minute drive from the town of Hood River, whereas Family Man & Post Flats are about 20 minutes from town. The lower trails are excellent riding for those looking for an all-mountain or cross-country experience. For those jonesing for jumps, drops, and features, head to the upper trails to get your free ride on.

Beginner or expert, this trail network on the banks of the mighty Columbia River – and nearby beer mecca Hood River – has something for everyone. Across the river, you will find the famed Syncline Trail, which is also not to be missed if you are in the area.

Trail Routes

The Hood River bike trails network is very extensive with a wide variety of terrain. Therefore we recommend checking out specific trail routes and information on the Trailforks website or app. Trailforks provides detailed information on terrain difficulty, distances and elevation gain. If you need bike demos or the scoop on the best trails, you can stop by a local friendly bike shop such as Fat Tire Farm. The map we have provided below shows the main staging areas and scrolled in displays the trails and names so you can create your own loop or out and back.
