Since 2006, Cog Wild has been running mountain bike adventure rides out of Bend and Oakridge and across Oregon. Escape the daily grind and recharge your soul: let Cog Wild show you well known but rarely used trails in the Ochocos, Timpanogas Area, Old Cascade Crest, McKenzie Valley and Mt. Hood Regions.

Ride these trails in two ways: either as big day trips from Bend or Oakridge or as camping or lodge based multi-day trips. Join a like minded group of riders on a prescheduled trip or choose your own dates and we’ll build a private trip for your group of 6 or more riders.

$ 149 per person includes:

  • Light guide support: route orientation & sweep, ride at your own pace, take help if you need it.
  • All transportation from Bend to the trailheads, shuttles during the day and return to Bend
  • A hearty sandwich from Nancy P’s Bakery & snacks
  • Beverages from Deschutes Brewery and Polar Seltzer

Not included:

  • Bring your own bike or rent one from Cog Wild or any bike shop in Bend
  • Guide gratuity: If you like the ride, plan to tip your guides.

  • June 29 – Sawtooth and Goodman, Eagle’s Rest
  • July 13 – Timpanogas Lake to the Middle Fork of the Willamette Trail
  • July 27 – Grasshopper & Box Canyon Bonus 
  • August 17 – Sawtooth and Goodman, Eagle’s Rest
  • August 31– Timpanogas Lake Loop with an optional bonus descent from the lake to Paddy’s Valley on the Middle Fork of the Willamette Trail
  • September 14 -Grasshopper Ridge & Box Canyon Bonus
  • September 28 – ATCA Loop
  • October 12 – Sawtooth and Goodman, Eagle’s Rest

In Oakridge, rental bikes from Santa Cruz and Ibis are available from the Willamette Mountain Mercantile/ Oakridge Bike Shop. Cog Wild does not rent bikes in Oakridge.

Multiday Mountain Bike Adventures Across Oregon

These are the places we like to go for a long weekend, where we ride get away from the busy-ness of Bend and the shuttle frenzy of Oakridge. We love the adventure: long days in the saddle, quiet time outside and plenty of post ride outdoor fun like swimming holes and waterfall hikes.

Join a prescheduled multiday adventure to ride with like minded folks or rally your crew and pick your own dates for a private tour. A popular choice recently has been for groups to base out of Bend and take day trips to these regions. Call us or submit an inquiry to start discussing your options.
