Multi-Day Mountain BikeAdventures in the Mt. Hood Region

Day 0

Meet in Bend at noon and travel to our campsite in the Mt Hood region. Meeting at our campsite at 3pm is an option as well. A quick afternoon ride to help get to know the group. Meet and greet happy hour at 5 PM, followed by dinner, stories around the campfire and star gazing.

Day 1

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head to Post Canyon for a day of riding. Post is a spider web of a trail system with longer xc trails, jump lines and shuttle-able DH trails. Early Freeriders adopted Post Canyon in the late 90’s, so look for classic wood features and skinnys.

Day 2

A good day for a high country ride. We will get up close to Mt. Hood today on the 44 trails, named after the forest road that intersects these trails. 15 mile Creek, 8 mile Creek High Prairie, 5 Mile lookout and Knebal Springs are all options for great loops or shuttles. High meadows and deep forests await a big day on the trail. Celebrate our last night in camp with a healthy dinner and cheers to big adventure.

Day 3

After our last breakfast and breaking camp, We will head for a big point to point ride. Starting high up on the flanks of Mt Hood and ending along the banks of the Hood River, expect long downhills and more great views. There is still plenty of climbing and traversing to keep us honest. A splash in the cold river is “mandatory” before heading home tired and happy.
