Mountain Bike Adventure Rides in the Ochocos, Oregon

The Ochoco National Forest east of Bend has amazing backcountry style mountain bike trails. The two main riding areas in the Ochocos are Lookout Mountain and Scotty / Cougar Creek.

Our adventure rides explore the two different areas with either shuttles or with long supported rides. The terrain is steeper than many of the trails in Bend, with open alpine zones, fir forests, open ponderosa stands and trails vary from smooth, firm packed clay to rough loose rocks. 2025 Ochocos Adventure Ride Dates:

Saturday June 7: Ochoco Scotty & Cougar Creek Trails – at least 3 shuttles
Saturday July 5: Ochoco Round & Lookout Mountains
Saturday September 13: Ochoco Round & Lookout Mountains

June 8: Scotty & Cougar Creek trail shuttles!

We will finalize the plan based on the group, but basic goal is to ride Scotty Creek to begin, then 2 laps on Cougar from the top of the climb. Focused on the descents, these trails are super fun! If we have time we’ll do an additional shuttle or ride.

Meeting at 9:15 AM at the Ochoco Divide Group site on the east side of HWY 26 across from NF-27 road: view on Google Maps
All shuttle service during the ride

Bring your own bike or rent one from us for the day.
