Gravel Bike Group Skills Lessons

We’re excited to partner with Special Blend Gravel to offer group skills lessons for gravel biking. Coach Serena Bishop Gordon brings a wealth of experience from years of competitive gravel and mountain bike racing. As a PMBIA Level 1 certified instructor, USAC Certified coach, and owner of Special Blend Gravel, Serena combines her expertise with a passion for helping others excel on two wheels.

Advanced Gravel Skills Group Lessons

The Advanced Gravel Skills Group Lessons are geared towards riders who are planning big rides or racing multi day gravel stage races such as the Oregon Trail Gravel Race, Last Best Ride, Gravel Royale, etc. The course is designed to familiarize participants with the specific demands of multi-day rides. Riders will travel with more confidence over washboard, through sand, up and down steep grades and technical gravel terrain. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to transfer gravel bike skills to single track and advance skills to climb and descend steeper terrain with confidence and speed.

The Advanced Gravel Skills Group Lessons is geared towards folks who are ready to take their gravel riding to the next level, have some experience riding rougher, less maintained roads, and want to gain confidence on more technical gravel terrain and single track.

Rider Level

This course is geared toward folks who have some gravel riding experience and know that they are ready for instruction to progress them to the next level of skills.

The Experience

The sessions will help riders gain more confidence riding over washboard roads, through sand, up and down steep grade, and tackling technical gravel terrain. We will cover equipment setup, fueling strategies, and self-reliance that will allow you to have more fun during long rides and multi-day stage races.
