Imagine heading out on bucolic country roads, pedaling under the shade of towering ponderosas, past fragrant sage brush and curling junipers to arrive at an agricultural oasis for a farm fresh lunch. Drink a glass of wine, tour the farm, and realize you have just experienced the perfect day on this farm to table cycling tour.

Cog Wild marries our love of cycling with our passion for sustainability on this scenic road cycling tour. We will cycle on a combination of two scenic bike ways to arrive at Rainshadow Organics where we will fuel up on a nutritious lunch straight from the fields. The ride follows quiet country roads with scenic mountain vistas through the classic central Oregon landscape for 30 peaceful and mesmerizing miles. Rainshadow Organics is located fifteen miles Northeast of Sisters, Oregon where they have farmed and gardened for over twenty-five years. They are a full-diet farm with dozens of varieties of certified organic vegetables, herbs, berries, flowers, and grains on 80 acres. This includes whole wheat berries and fresh, stone-ground flour. They also offer pasture-raised, non-gmo fed pork, chicken, eggs, turkeys, and beef.

Enjoy a glass of local wine or craft beer and unwind on the porch of the idyllic farm store with a view of the 3 Sisters before we take a tour of the grounds to learn about Rainshadow’s agricultural practices and their path towards self sufficiency. After you have had your fill we will shuttle you back to town with a sense of satisfaction, fresh farm goods and admiration for the landscape and the farmers that shape it.
