Cog Wild’s certified PMBIA coaches will coach you through the fundamentals of mountain biking through a carefully planned series of courses as well as individual classes on more advanced techniques. Learn to ride the trails with confidence and graduate with a Shredder’s degree from Cog Wild University!

Learn to Shred 101 – Fundamentals of Mountain Biking | Foundation building for all mountain bike maneuvers

Learn to Shred 102 –  Fundamentals into Movement | Navigating the trail at higher speeds with proper position, balance and control

Learn to Shred 103 – Navigating Trail Features & Intro to Advanced Maneuvers | Learning how to approach and go over obstacles

Bonus Course – At the end of each series we will offer a special bonus class that can be booked individually by anyone who has graduated from Cog U.

SKILLS SERIES CLINICS INCLUDE:

  • 2.5 hours per class of instruction by certified skills coaches, broken into small groups

Recommended Clothing & Gear

Exercise clothes, such as comfortable shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes are great, as well as a long sleeve sweatshirt or lightweight jacket. Hydration packs are recommended for carrying drinking water. Helmets are required on all rides. Gloves are recommended. Pads are optional if they will make you feel more comfortable trying new things.

Needed Information.

During the reservation process you will need to share the below info for each rider:

  • If each rider has mountain bikes before: beginner, intermediate or advanced and any additional details you would like to share.
  • Any dietary or medical restrictions.

Can I use my own bike?

Yes! Your own mountain bike is best because you are used to it, but we you can rent a mountain bike from a local shop if needed.

I have been riding for a long time, what can you teach me?

Our coaches have lots of experience with all skill levels. This series is great for any level of rider hoping to hone in their skills or start from the beginning. We believe even experience riders can benefit from starting from the fundamentals to advance their techniques and take their riding to the next level.
