Mountain Bike Adventure Rides out of Bend

Join us for an adventure mountain bike ride to some of our favorite trails in Oregon on a day trip from our Bend location. Escape the daily grind and recharge your soul: let Cog Wild show you well known but rarely used trails in the high country west of Bend, the Ochoco National Forest and the Old Cascade Crest.

Check out the schedule below and note that no rides on this page allow e-bikes. We also run Adventure Rides out of Oakridge where some rides are e-bike legal.

Scotty Creek & Cougar Creek Trails

Ochoco National Forest
  • Highlights: these two action-packed trails wind through remote, rugged terrain and are best enjoyed by shuttling for multiple laps.
  • For strong intermediate and advanced riders.
  • Meet at our Bend office at 7:30 AM
  • Or meet the van at the Ochoco Divide Group Site at 9:00 AM
  • Drive from Bend is 1.5 hours
  • Ride plan: we will shuttle both trails multiple times. There are multiple places to start and finish each lap so the guides and driver will coordinate based on how the group is doing. While there is some climbing on Cougar, each lap features high speed descending so it’s a good idea to wear more protective gear like pads and full face helmets if desired.
  • Stats: Scotty Creek up to 4 miles per lap with 2,300′ descent with virtually no climbing. Cougar Creek up to 5 miles per lap with 2,300′ descending and small climbs along the way.
