Cog Wild has teamed up with Overland Cycle of Bend to offer Central Oregon’s first forest road eBike tour. We’re excited to pair our guiding expertise and infrastructure with the impressively powerful, silent Overland to expand access in the Deschutes National Forest to more variety of riding and more types of riders than ever before. Because this is precisely what Cog Wild is all about – helping people to get out and enjoy our beautiful home by bike.

Featuring a custom route to one of our favorite warming huts overlooking the glorious Central Cascades, this tour will take riders on a mix of paved and dirt roads, depending on exact experience level and riding interest. Once there, we’ll stop for lunch and enjoy the breathtaking views before returning to town.

THIS DAY TOUR INCLUDES:

  • Up to six-hour long eBike tour on forest roads, personalized to your riding level.
  • Local, expert and caring guides.
  • Overland Cycle eBike rental.
  • Lunch sandwiches from local favorite bakery, Nancy P’s.
  • Tasty, filling and healthy snacks on the trail.
  • Cog Wild water bottle.
  • Complimentary post-ride Deschutes Brewery beer, Crater Lake Spirits, and/or Humm Kombucha after returning to Cog Wild.

Needed Information

During the reservation process you will need to share the below info for each rider:

  • Height and weight for the bike rental.
  • Ages of children or those over 60.
  • If each rider has mountain bikes before: beginner, intermediate or advanced and any additional details you would like to share.
  • Any dietary or medical restrictions.

My friends and I want to do this tour together, but some of us ride faster/slower than the rest of the group. Is this a problem?

Not at all! Once we have details about all the riders we will choose a route that will help keep everyone together. And depending on the size of the group, we may have more than one guide to allow everyone to be able to ride at their own pace without getting too far ahead or left behind.

How much water should I have with me?

Cog Wild will provide each rider with one water bottle for you to keep after the ride. However, we recommend carrying at least a few water bottles or a full hydration bladder for your full day ride. There is not a place to refill water along the trail, so you will need to start the ride with all of your water for the day.
