When we talk about ourselves, we use the word “family” a lot — as in, “the Cog Wild Family.” We’re not just a group of passionate people who work together, but a tight group of folks who dig riding bikes and showing off this amazing backyard we’re fortunate enough to call home. Aside from just working together to show you the best that Bend has to offer, you’re likely to find our family enjoying local trails and local beer together. Come, let us show you what Bend is all about.
Lev Stryker, Owner
Lev has been riding bikes for a long, long time. He first hopped on a mountain bike in the hills of Santa Cruz, California when he was 15 years old. The rest, as they say, is history. Name a type of cycling and Lev has likely done it. He’s raced everything from road bikes to downhill bikes, and has taken trips around the world in search of the perfect piece of singletrack. His most recently acquired bit of cycling fame came after hitting some very big jumps as captain on a tandem mountain bike in Bend’s biggest annual pro-invitational, the Blitz.
Lev has lived in Central Oregon since 1997 and enjoys spending most of his time outside on the mountain bike with his wife Kirin and daughter Nola. In the winter, he can be found on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor or hiking for turns high in the Cascades. Lev is very involved with the Central Oregon Trail Alliance and is the Trail Adopter for the infamous Whoops Trail.
