Ochoco Mountains
Heard of the Ochocos before? Most people haven't and even less have ridden here although the riding is prime for intermediate and advanced riders. The trails will test your technical skill on challenging downhills and endurance on lengthy climbs through huge old-growth ponderosa groves and open meadows.

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel or vacation rental in a Cog Wild van, or meet you at a predetermined location. A 45 minute drive brings us to the Lookout Mountain trailhead near the Ochoco ranger station. The ride starts with a long climb up a mix of paved road, dirt road and singletrack. You will top out at the peak of lookout Mountain, at 6800 feet. Looking West from the top, you have all of Central Oregon sprawled out in front of you. Prepare for what many locals consider their favorite trail in Central Oregon, the Lookout Mountain trail. Check your brakes and make sure all your carry ons are safely stowed, get ready for 7½ miles of ripping singletrack all the way back to the Trail head. This trail has super tech rock gardens, fast open ridge riding and everything in between. This is the kind of tour that starts the stories about your best mountain bike ride ever. If you are looking for all time riding, sign up for this tour.
