Best of Bend
Spend five glorious days riding high in the Cascades and your nights in Bend staying in a plush hotel! The Cascade Lake trails wind though alpine and sub-alpine forests and visit numerous lakes. You'll be awed by views of snow capped volcanic mountains as you sweat over challenging climbs and swoop down loamy descents. Bring your swimsuit since all the trails pass lakes where swimming is an option. Spend evenings enjoying Bend's downtown with the best restaurants in town within walking distance of the hotel.

Sunday: Four days of riding starts with an afternoon ride on local favorite trails close to town. This ride is a great way to get a lay of the land and warm up the legs for a great riding vacation. A van shuttle out of town brings us to the start of a 12 to 17 mile singletrack ride back to Bend. Mileage: 17 miles
Monday: Broken Top Mountain to Cultus Lake. We leave Bend early and drive 20 minutes to Broken Top Trail Head at 6800 feet. The ride today is an all singletrack point to point ride that covers 19 miles on the way to Cultus Lake resort at 4600 feet. On the way we will pass the majestic sleeping volcanoes of the Cascade mountains as well as alpine lakes nestled in the forests. Lunch today will be at Little Lava Lake, the headwaters of the Deschutes River. The tour ends at the Cultus Lake, from where we return to Bend for dinner and an optional night out on the town. Mileage: 23 miles
Tuesday: The ride today is considered the crown jewel of the trip with 18 miles of amazing single track. We pass multiple lakes as the trail dips through alpine meadows and over forested hills. Many viewpoints along the way make for mandatory rest stops. We will have a picnic lunch at Charlton Lake about midway through the ride. Mileage: 18 miles
Wednesday: Whoever said Central Oregon doesn't have technical singletrack will eat there words today. Starting at Mt. Bachelor at 6200 feet and ending at Little Lava Lake at 4700, this may sound like an easy shuttle, but don't rule out the steep climbs and descents in between. After topping out at Kwohl shelter, the lava strewn technical downhill to Lava Lake will test your skills to the max. Ask your guide to show you the hidden freeride stunts, built by local trail bandits. The trail ends right at the lake, so a quick dip is in order before heading back to Town. Mileage: 19
Thursday: The riding today will put the icing on the cake of an incredible mountain bike trip. We will start of our ride up above Mt Bachelor at 6800 feet. We will ride to Bend on 20 miles of sweet, uninterrupted singletrack. Enjoy fast, flowing descents among huge Hemlock trees, traverse open alpine meadows with views into the Three Sisters Wilderness and cross cold babbling creeks fresh from the glaciers.
