Details
Friday: Our tour starts at 10am at the Cog Wild office. From here, we will suit up for our first ride and take off for the mountains! Starting from Mt Bachelor, known for skiing in the winter, we will pass multiple lakes as the cross country trail drops in elevation. We love this trail because even Bend locals seldom ride out here and it makes you feel like you have left civilzation for mountain biking heaven! The trail is pretty buff but will have some technical sections with rock for those who want to work on skills and/or love technical trail! Thirteen miles later, our ride will end at Lava Lake and from here we will shuttle to our camping spot at another beautiful lake. After setting up our tents, you can choose to work on skills with a guide, go for a swim, relax or go for an unguided ride to yet another lake. The day will end with apps and brews at the campground followed by yummy dinner and a campfire.
Mileage: 13-28 miles

Saturday: While breakfast is being prepared, morning yoga overlooking the lake will get us ready for the day's ride. Our loop will consist of singletrack climbing through a beautiful Hemlock forest with dripping moss, passing a few lakes on our way to lunch at Charlton Lake. Bring your bathing suit, Charlton Lake is perfect lake for a mid-ride swim. After lunch we will have a short steep climb before a long decent that goes on for miles, bringing us full circle back to the start of our loop. For advanced riders, we can add on a climb to the top of an overlook with a great decent. For more beginner riders, you can choose a shorter loop to ensure the being on vacation vibe continues! Massages will take place once we return to camp, while everyone else enjoys brews and apps and a rinse off swim in Little Cultus Lake. Our evening will end around the campfire with Deschutes Beer and a starry sky.
Mileage: 15-26 miles

Sunday: Our last day starts out with more amazing yoga and a scrumptious breakfast overlooking the lake. After breaking down camp, we will shuttle back up to Mt Bachelor, although this time we will head down towards Bend. The trail will take us through huge hemlock trees, across open alpine meadows and past amazing views of the Three Sisters Wilderness. We will have a chance to work on skills crossing creeks, riding narrow trail and riding over logs and beams. After 3000ft of descending we complete our ride back in wonderful Bend.
Mileage: 25 miles
