Meet the Owners

Lev Stryker
Lev brings a long history of cycling to Cog Wild. He started mountain biking at fifteen and never looked back. Name a type of cycling and Lev has probably done it. From racing big stage races like the Cascade Cycling Classic to Freeride trips to Whistler, and everything in between, Lev likes to have fun on a bike. Lev has been riding in Central Oregon for over ten years and has intimate knowledge of the trails and road rides. His involvement with the bike community in Bend includes trail adoption and crew leadership with COTA, working at some of the bike shops in town and organizing group rides for all levels. One great thing about the Bend area is the variety of activities available. Lev snowboards and skate skis all winter. He has been designing and building the Mt Bachelor terrain park for seven years.
Melanie Fisher
Melanie has been mountain biking since her teens as well. She is still waiting for the day that she can comfortably ride technical trails, but that does not stop her from getting out and having fun! Bike riding is an important part of Melanie's life and she has bike toured in Japan, New Zealand, and Nepal and has brought her bike to ride in India, Thailand and Australia as well. She also has taught bicycle safety classes and has helped organize events like Bike To Work Day and works as much as possible with bike organizations. Melanie has a lot of experience in the hospitality industry and this is the second bike tour company she is running. Other than bikes and travel, her other passion is food and makes sure everyone going on a Cog Wild bike tour eats well! (if only there was a BBQ pit that could be attached to a bike...)
